Downloads folder

Where exactly should this be? i've looked at various 'tutorials' and they
all look different to what's in my directory. I can't get the content in
the game if I put the downloads folder in the main folder or in with the
Userdata (that's got the files that are shown in the easiest tutorial).
Yes, the use custom content is on, and the Folder is correctly spelt.

Any help appreciated,

You should have a folder in My Documents, called EAGames/The Sims 2 . You
put the Downloads folder in there.

You should have a folder in My Documents, called EAGames/The Sims 2 . You

You should have a folder in My Documents, called EAGames/The Sims 2
. You put the Downloads folder in there.

Thought you might have been, it's a common mistake, I think Sims 1 did
something like that?

Yes, do not put anything in there and certainly never, ever delete from the
program directories. Everything you need is in My Documents.
